In Vitro Fertilization or IVF is the baby produced not from the body relationship, but by taking sperm of male and female, then put into a certain device at a certain time, then put into the womb of the woman after being considered capable of becoming a fetus.
The law is detailed as follows:
a. If sperm is used in the process of making a IVF, it is not produced from the sperm of a husband and wife who want a IVF, then the law is haram.
b. If the sperm used is produced by a husband and wife who wants a IVF, but it is produced in a way that is not halal, such as husband’s sperm produced from adultery with other women, or produced by masturbation, then the law is haram.
c. If the sperm used is produced by a husband and wife who wants a IVF, and is produced in a halal way, then the law is permitted, if the process of inserting sperm into the uterus is done by her husband, or someone else in a way that is not prohibited by religion, such as seeing aurat and other other.
The status of children produced from IVF processes is detailed as follows:
a. Nasab connects to the owner of sperm and women who give birth, if the sperm used is produced in a halal (lawful) way. Unless the woman has a husband, and the birth of a baby more than six months after the husband and wife relationship is carried out after inserting the sperm of another person into the womb, if so, then the baby born nasab connects to husband and wife, not to the sperm owner.
b, Nasab only connects to women who give birth, if the sperm used is produced in a way that is not halal, and the woman is not the status of another person’s wife, and the birth of more than six months since the husband’s sperm is inserted into the womb If so, then the baby’s nasab will connect to the husband and wife.
c, Nasab continues to husband and wife, if the sperm used is produced by her husband and produced in a halal way, or produced in a way that is not halal, but the birth of a baby more than six months from the intercourse that is done after the process of inserting sperm into the wife’s uterus .
